The Sierra Bermeja mountain (1.449m) dominates the landscape surrounding Estepona with its impressive presence. Its summit is reached through thick forests of pinesap, chestnut, pine trees and other native species of flora in this spectacularly beautiful spot. Venison, wild boar, eagles and a large number of rodents and birds, both native and migrant, find their paradise in this natural habitat. From the top of 'Los Pedregales' Park you can contemplate the greenness of the valleys fed by the rivers and streams, the plots of land belonging to Estepona's farmers, the white of their houses, and how the tracks that descend from Sierra Bermeja meet at the town's main church. Lovers
of natural, green open spaces can enjoy walks and excursions discovering
places of great beauty. Depending on the time of the year they can find
ponds, areas covered in wild flowers, enchanted valleys, peaks with
panoramic views over the Mediterranean and endless beautiful landscapes,
unique to this privileged region. |
